Still developed by The Browser Companyto whom we recently owe the Arc Search app, the Arc browser is ready today to let many more new users test it by landing on Windows 11. After a small period of caution based on beta and waiting list, the exclusivity of the software within the Apple ecosystem is over.

A browser that wants you to forget Chrome and company

Arc has several specific features to stand out from Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave and other Opera. The main one is probably its desire to offer a refined visual experience that leaves plenty of room for the content of the web pages. Thus, the left sidebar where the vertical tabs and bookmarks are located can automatically retract. It is also possible to add buttons to quickly launch often used services. Two pages can also be placed side by side, like on Vivaldi.

Systems of spaces and profiles are also included so as not to mix work and leisure. Compatible with Chromium, and therefore with the vast majority of websites and extensions, Arc was developed with the Swift language. Synchronization, end-to-end encrypted with an Arc account, is also there. This also works with Arc Search on iOS.

An experience still under construction

Arc, however, is still far from its final form. Between support for Windows 10, an Android version, the addition of support for macOS features, and even new tools, developers have their work cut out for them to refine their solution and make it more accessible. This is only available in English at the moment.
