In the midst of the full-format hybrid battle, Panasonic offers a modest box that is no less effective.
While the competition offers full-format hybrids with more limited technical data sheets, Panasonic unveils an expert Lumix S5 that is difficult to fault. If the size of the device is improved compared to the Lumix S1 and S1R, it still remains on the side of the relatively imposing boxes. The Lumix S5 takes advantage of excellent ergonomics and a very complete photo/video mode, while offering good image quality. Enough to position it as a must in the 24×36 hybrid market.

With the Lumix GH6, Panasonic brilliantly renews one of its flagship devices that has contributed to its success. Without necessarily offering the best image quality or the widest range of work on the market, the GH6 has so much to offer that it becomes difficult to find a real lack apart from ultra-specific functions. In addition to a slightly reduced photo mode, it is the video part that marks a big blow and will convince an audience that is less and less amateur/expert and more and more professional. Finally, apart from some professional cameras, it will be difficult to beat the Lumix GH6 on its favorite ground.
