The Philips Airfryer Essential XL HD9270/90 oil-free fryer goes under €100 at Amazon, a drop of around 13% on the price usually found. It is currently one of the best products in our comparison.
The Essential Airfryer XL HD9270/90 is one of Philips’ new “affordable” air fryers. It does not logically offer as many features as the manufacturer’s higher-end models, but has an interesting capacity of 6.2 liters.

The Essential Airfryer XL HD9270/90 does not offer as many features as the more high-end models from Philips, but the essential is there: the heating is fast and the temperature rather stable and homogeneous within the tank. The NutriU application also makes it easy to find recipes, but we would have liked a slightly better control panel.
Strong points
- Rapid rise in temperature.
- Nice cooking homogeneity.
- Interesting NutriU app.
- Little noisy.
Weak points
- Inconvenient and unresponsive control panel.
- Dirty coating.
NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Cooking
The Philips Essential Airfryer Compact HD9200 is an attractive alternative to the cheap oil-free fryers that are springing up on the market. Its control panel is certainly rudimentary, but it is also intuitive. It is thus all the easier to cook with this model as it never reserves any unpleasant surprises when cooking. The temperatures are generally well respected and quickly reached. Remains a range of temperature after all limited and, above all, a size all the same consequent for the small capacity proposed.
