How the pricing table works

The WH-XB900N are headphones that are very pleasant to use and relatively efficient if you take the time to correct their furiously generous frequency response in the low frequencies. Its top-of-the-range price placement confronts it with the best headphones in its category, the WH-1000XM3, regularly offered 50 € more expensive (and even less with reductions) and indisputably better placed in audio and on active noise reduction. The latter is therefore a better investment, but there are also excellent alternatives such as the Bose QC 35 II or the Jabra Elite 85h.

Strong points

  • Beautiful sound performance, after correction.
  • Good distortion management.
  • Comfortable, pleasant and intuitive use.
  • Complete and responsive orders.
  • Excellent autonomy, charging via USB-C
  • Capture quality of on-board microphones.

Weak points

  • Use of the mandatory equalizer to obtain a good sound reproduction.
  • Disastrous sound rendering in wired use / off.
  • Ineffective active noise reduction.
  • No multipoint Bluetooth connection.

The Life Q30 is a nice little surprise. Of course, you shouldn’t expect great experience or stunning design quality from it, however, it fulfills its mission humbly on all terrains and sometimes even offers more than its direct competitors. This is a good starting point at a low price in the jungle of Bluetooth headphones with active noise reduction.
