Good deal – The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080p surveillance camera at €34.90 (-21%)

The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080p arrives on the surveillance camera market with a very aggressive price positioning and a formidable technical sheet.

The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080p benefits from very simple installation and configuration. The application gives access to many interesting options, the storage of the sequences is done locally and, to spoil nothing, the image quality is there in good light conditions. We can regret the absence of mains power or that the pivoting motorized head does not automatically track the individual in its field, but the biggest downside lies in the poor performance provided by the microphone and the loudspeaker.

Strong points

  • Motorized head.
  • Good image quality in good light conditions.
  • Interesting functions accessible in the application.
  • MicroSD slot and possible configuration on NAS.

Weak points

  • No mains unit supplied with the camera.
  • The head does not rotate automatically.
  • Poor quality of speakers.
  • Microphone weakness.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The EZVIZ C6N surveillance camera multiplies the good points thanks to its 360° swivel head. Movement tracking allows it, for example, to automatically follow an individual in its field. It also leaves the choice to the user of the place of storage (locally or on the clouds). Its image quality is good, mainly in good light conditions. Finally, this camera does not really bring any significant change compared to its predecessor, the C6C 1080p which we prefer for its better image quality in night mode.
