good news, this small change will simplify your transfers

The latest update of Ma Banque, the Crdit Agricole mobile application, includes a little new feature that will make your life easier.

Should I give you a Paylib? The expression has entered common parlance since this interbank service dedicated to small payments between friends appeared in the majority of French banks. Reminder of the principle: Paylib between friends allows you to transfer money instantly to a third party’s account.

Since the end of 2018, Crdit Agricole has been one of the compatible banks. Making a Paylib, however, required using not the Ma Banque mobile application, the one that its customers use on a daily basis to access their account, but another application, called Mobile Payment. We have seen more convenient…

Simpler choice between classic transfer and Paylib

Fortunately, the green bank has just corrected the situation. The latest update of its My Bank application, on Android and iPhone, repatriates Paylib among friends in the section dedicated to transfers.

From now on, to send money to your loved ones, you have the choice between the traditional SEPA transfer, with its delay of 1 to 3 days, the instant SEPA transfer, generally paid, and Paylib between friends, free and instant. On condition, for the latter, to respect certain limits: 500 euros per transfer and 900 euros per day.

Another advantage of Paylib among friends: you do not need to know or provide the beneficiary’s IBAN to make the transfer. His mobile phone number is enough. The My Bank application is thus able, with your consent, to search through the contacts saved on your phone to find the right beneficiary. You can also enter the mobile number yourself.

Note, finally, that Paylib between friends is called to disappear soon, for the benefit of Werothe future European interbank payment wallet, which should be launched in France in July 2024. A development which should not change much in the service provided, but will broaden the field of potential beneficiaries to Belgium, Germany and , term, in the Netherlands.
