Google Maps: Satellite image reveals rare flying object

There have already been all sorts of curious satellite and aerial photographs on Google Maps. This shows a very rare flying object.

Google Maps always offers one or the other curious find. The map service suggests a detour via the motorway as the shortest route for pedestrians, or sends drivers into rivers or lakes. But this picture should probably not be on Google Maps.

The footage shows a stealth bomber near Kansas City apparently flying at high speed. The flying object is so recognizable that some Reddit users have actually been able to determine that it is a Northrop B-2, a US Army fighter jet.

It is considered the most expensive fighter jet in the world. An hour’s flight is estimated to cost the US Army over $100,000. Accordingly, you will rarely see such an aircraft in the sky. Especially since there are only 20 of them, which makes finding them on Google Maps even more exciting.

If you want to see this rare find with your own eyes, you can enter the following coordinates into Google Maps and activate the satellite view. The coordinates are “39.021825476506685, -93.59461442269252”.

But there are far stranger Google Maps finds. So users have found disturbing images from the ruins of Chernpbyl. Another user found the body of a missing person using the map service.
