Google Pixel 8a: a trade-in offer that changes everything

The Pixel 8a, made official by Google a week ago and available since May 14, is priced at €549 with 128 GB of storage and €609 with 256 GB of internal space. A price not really surprising, and a slight increase compared to the Pixel 7a (€509 upon release). What is certainly more significant is the small price difference currently displayed with the Pixel 8 launched last year. Indeed, it is currently benefiting from an impressive promotion of €200. In fact, this brings the 128 GB version to €599 and the 256 GB version to €659, which is just €50 more than the 8a. Although in practice the difference between these two smartphones does not appear to be very significant, the choice could prove complicated.

But Google is hiding an ace up its sleeve with a very interesting trade-in offer, since the firm adds a trade-in bonus of €150 to the estimated price of your old smartphone, compared to €75 offered for the purchase of a Pixel 8. The American giant accepts almost all brands and if you have an old device at the bottom of a drawer, the operation is very interesting from a financial point of view. Take the case of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, a smartphone launched in 2020 and which can easily be found second-hand for around €75. Its recovery, if it is in working order, will earn you €175. The Pixel 8a 128 GB will then cost you €374, compared to €499 for the Pixel 8 with the same smartphone included. The difference between the two models then reaches €125, which makes the price of the 8a much more attractive.

Finally, let us point out that this takeover offer will be valid until June 3.
