The title was announced last April and has therefore just found a renowned producer to ensure a successful release in 2022 on PC. This adventure and strategy game will invite us to lead the Dawn Tribe, in a universe of dark fantasy based on Slavic folklore. We will have the leisure to develop our colony called god, evolving our city, managing our people, participating in randomly generated missions with customizable difficulty, controlling powerful summons and juggling survival elements reminiscent of frostpunk and consorts.
The title is also created by Covenant.dev, a new 24-person studio made up of former CD Project RED (The Witcher 3), 11 bit (frostpunk) and Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior 2). It will be led by general manager Stan Just, a former producer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A teaser cinematic was broadcast in passing.

An AI-driven quest system to ensure variety
Venture outside the walls of your colony with Gord’s AI-driven quest system that guarantees you many different challenges to complete. Main storyline objectives will guide your playthrough, while procedurally generated side quests and chance encounters will lead you into the wilds. Here you will hunt legendary creatures, uncover secrets about the Ancients, or defeat a serious plague. Expect the unexpected.
Custom scenarios through generation
You will have access to a wide range of scenario options. Try to achieve victory! Choose the easy way or prefer an impossible challenge: almost everything can be changed! Choose from many main objectives, select level size, raid intensity, game environment, type of opponents to face, starting resources and even weather conditions! Of course, don’t forget the Horrors.
Mental health and burden systems
A healthy population is key to surviving in Gord. Every aspect of your colonists’ lives, from disease and starvation to the death of loved ones, can impact their level of sanity and burden. Watch these two levels carefully, because once a certain critical point is reached, your subjects will suffer from depression or may even flee your governance.
Unleash powerful incantations
Satisfy the gods with your prayers and they might give you access to their enchanting abilities. Some incantations are offensive, others are defensive, but they will all help you on the battlefield. Hide areas from your opponents, control menacing creatures, or unleash unholy rage on all who dare oppose you.
Discover the mysteries of the world in the Chronicle
The Chronicle tells the story of the universe of Gord where true Slavic legends and a fantastic and dark universe mix. Torn pages from the Chronicle are scattered throughout the game’s landscapes and thus form an additional challenge to overcome. Collect as many pages as possible to understand the origin of the gods, the ancient dissensions, and the mythical Whisperers.
