Got off the A12 – Tyrol: family had an accident on the way home from a skiing holiday

The drive home from a skiing holiday for a German vacationing family in the Tyrolean lowlands ended with a shock on Saturday morning: The father (51) probably got off the Inntal autobahn near Kundl (Kufstein district) due to a microsleep. The car crashed into a group of trees. The mother (50) suffered injuries – the man and the two young children got away with the horror.

The accident happened just before 7 a.m. The German holiday family was on the way home from a skiing holiday in Italy. As a police spokesman told the “Krone”, the 51-year-old driver probably lost control of the car because of the microsleep Tree Group. According to the spokesman, the four occupants were initially unable to leave the vehicle because it was literally trapped between trees. The fire brigade finally freed her. The father and the two young children (15 and 17 years) were apparently unharmed.
