The first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer already has 73 million views on Youtubeslowly but surely approaching the 98 million views of the first trailer for GTA V. This obviously does not take into account people who viewed the video on third-party channels, on Twitch with their favorite content creator or via social networks, the Internet has changed a lot in 12 years.
Anyway, the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI already does better than the first videos of Cyberpunk 2077, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Red Dead Redemption 2 combinedgames that are highly anticipated before their releases. IGN did the accounts, FPS/RPG of CD Project records 28 million views, the open world adventure game from Nintendo 16 million views and action game with cowboys from Rockstar 23 million views. As saying that GTA VI is already a success, many fans are waiting for it.
However, the hasty reveal of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was painful for the developers. Even though they have been working on the game for years, they were waiting like the players to discover the video with colleagues at the scheduled time. As reported PC Gaming, employees of Rockstar did not fail to express their disappointment and frustration on social networksfirst with somewhat vulgar messages quickly deleted then with slightly more measured remarks:
- It really sucks.
- Seriously? Sorry for the anger, but the trailer leak is so disheartening. I was really looking forward to seeing her watch with everyone. A lot of people were.

Several other members of the video game industry also deplored the leak of the trailer, recalling that it is often harmful to the commercial strategy of the game and its development, demoralizing the developers involved in the project. The others disappointed are PC gamersbecause GTA VI is currently only expected on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, not before 2025.
