She then decides to remove the blindfold and finds herself facing a man “with wrinkled skin, paunchy stomach, bald head and wearing glasses”. According to the search carried out at his home, 342 women were victims of his scheme.
Similar complaints already filed before
According to investigators, this 68-year-old retired publicist had already been the subject of complaints. In 2009 and 2013, two women filed a complaint against him for similar facts. But the man had never been prosecuted, speaking then of “Consented sexual games”. This Monday, October 25, he was referred to the Assize Court for “Surprise rapes”, justice considering that the victims were deceived by this pensioner.
Still according to information from the Parisian, this is a great first for French justice. According to article 222-23 of the Penal Code, surprise is one of the constituent elements of rape. “Any act of sexual penetration, of whatever nature, committed on the person of another by violence, constraint, threat or surprise is rape”.
