The Swiss MSC has quickly become the world’s largest container transporter, at the expense of the Danish Maersk, according to data compiled by the specialist site Alphaliner. MSC claims 4.284 million twenty-foot containers (TEU) against 4.281 million in the Danish, according to Alphaliner. The classification is completed by CMA CGM and Cosco.
