The woman stated that an unknown person with whom she had been in contact via various Internet platforms since March 28 of this year had been misled into making transfers to a bank account, stating false facts. Faked the background to the arrest: The man stated to have been arrested in Turkey. He needs the money to avert a prison sentence. She transferred him a total of a mid-five-digit euro amount. The woman’s bank has now made her aware that the account in question is linked to fraudulent activities. The money is gone for now.
