As the manga continues to surprise readers with each chapter, the anime finally comes to the conclusion of the Wano arc. Should we expect a break or a series of insipid side episodes?
It’s never been better to be a One Piece fan. While volume 105 has been available for a few days, fans of the anime have finally been able to discover Luffy’s new transformation. The Wano arc is finally coming to an end and will be wrapped up in a few episodes. Naturally, connoisseurs wondered whether the continuation of the adventures of the Straw Hat crew would continue directly on the small screen or not. The question arose all the more since a rumor, admittedly not very credible, suggested that the One Piece anime could be put on pause soon. We have reassuring news for them.
A break after the Wano arc for the One Piece anime?
It was one of the events of the summer. While some were waiting for the first season of the One Piece series from Netflix, early fans were impatient at the idea of discovering Luffy’s transformation into Gears 5 in the anime. They were not disappointed, with a large majority of others having difficulty getting used to the cartoonish and offbeat aspect of this very serious fight. The episodes follow one another and the Wano arc is slowly approaching its conclusion. We thus learn that after the broadcast of 1079 to 1081 which will focus on the post-fight of the Mugiwara and the attack of a new figure of the Navy, the anime of One Piece will not be on hiatus, it is is official.
On the contrary, the Egg Head arc will begin in episode 1085. Good news therefore, there will be no filler after the Wano arc. Fans of the anime will therefore not have to deal with a side and unofficial arc solely created to give the manga time to advance sufficiently before tackling the following chapters. Everything will come together for the anime it seems. The appearance of a Yonko will be visibly advanced, as will his fight against one of the members of the Worst Generation. We’re keeping the names secret to keep a little surprise for those who only follow the One Piece anime, but know that this confrontation normally only happens after the start of the Egg Head arc.
The producers of the series could therefore focus on world events before showing the continuation of the adventures of Luffy and his comrades.
