Meanwhile, the freshmen play detective to find out more about the relationship between Lucas (Niko Terho) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) sees Jackson (Jesse Williams, who also directs this part) on a trip to Boston.
With the intrigue of Bailey and Addison, the medical show created by Shonda Rhimes once again tackles a major social issue in its season 19, when the right to abortion is sometimes questioned today.
Chandra Wilson responds to AlloCiné
During an interview with Chandra Wilson, AlloCiné also asked the latter if she considers that it is still important for the series to offer this kind of story. The actress then told us: “In Grey’s Anatomy, we like to show the world as it is. It is not a question of giving an opinion, in one way or another, of determining whether it is good or bad, whether to do this or that…“
“Our show is all about medicine. But Bailey sees a flaw in the system.explained the actress. Here in the United States, the health system is affected in these structures, family planning. Because of this, fewer caregivers are equipped to help women going through a crisis or trying to figure it out.“
Chandra Wilson continued, “These women seek normal, basic care. But there is a void here. As a physicist and surgeon, it’s something Bailey is passionate about now that she has her own daughter.
