With these words, Shonda Rhimes said goodbye to the “Grey’s Anatomy” spin-off “Seattle Firefighters” (originally “Station 19”) on Instagram. US broadcaster ABC will not continue the series after the upcoming 7th season, as Deadline reports.
Reprieve for the young heroes
Season 7 of “Seattle Firefighters” will air in the USA from March 14, 2024, and fans of the series can still expect a total of 10 episodes. The cancellation was announced at the beginning of production to give the series writers the chance to bring the story to a full conclusion.
In the 20th season of “Grey’s Anatomy” we can also expect one last “Seattle Firefighters” crossover. There is no German start yet for the new “Grey’s Anatomy” season and the last “Seattle Firefighters” episodes; usually a waiting time of almost six months can be expected.
