The American series of doctors "Grey's Anatomy" celebrates a real milestone. On Wednesday (June 24, 8:15 p.m.) ProSieben will broadcast the 350th episode as a German premiere. It is also the last episode that the broadcaster shows. The eighth episode of season 16 is titled "My Shot", in German "Mein Tag". In the United States, it flickered on TV screens in mid-November 2019 – it was only later that it became known why this episode is so special.

"Grey's Anatomy" has already made TV history
In the 15th season, "Grey's Anatomy" made TV history. Episode 332, which aired in the U.S. in February 2019, made Grey's Anatomy the longest-running medical drama series on TV. And has thus overtaken the long-running hit "Emergency Room – The Emergency Room" (ER). "ER" ran from 1994 to 2009 and has 331 episodes. "Grey's Anatomy" has now far exceeded this episode number – Season 16 has the 350th episode to offer – and there will be a few more to come. Because a 17th season is officially confirmed.

It's surprisingly goodbye

Actor Justin Chambers surprisingly left the series in the middle of the season. He was like Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson (50) aka Dr. Miranda Bailey and James Pickens Jr. (65) aka Dr. Richard Webber has been with us since season one, a veteran from the very beginning.
As the reason for his abrupt exit, Chambers' official statement said: "There is no good time to say goodbye to a show and a figure that has defined so much of my life in the past 15 years." For some time now, however, he has hoped to be able to bring more variety into his roles and his career path. "Now that I am 50 years old and blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is the time," said the actor at the time.
The absence of Dr. Alex Karev is initially supported by his wife Dr. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington, 36) mirrored. She is increasingly concerned that her husband has left her. The final enlightenment finally takes place in episode 358, with the English title "Leave a Light On", which was broadcast in the US in early March and caused a lot of turmoil.
