Fans of Steffen Henssler can be happy: VOX is planning a special episode of its show "Grill den Henssler" with non-prominent candidates.

"You are quick-witted, really fit at the stove and you want to give a real culinary cut?" – With this call, VOX is currently looking for new challengers for TV chef Steffen Henssler (48). "For the first time in the history of 'Grill den Henssler' we are also looking for non-prominent amateur cooks who will have the chance to compete against Steffen Henssler," explains the broadcaster when asked by spot on news. Everyone who is dying to "grill the king of cooks on the stove themselves – alone or in a duo" can feel addressed.

Special episode will be part of the spring season

Initially, an episode is being considered that will be part of the spring season 2021. "We are currently still in the planning stage," the broadcaster said. "We work continuously on our programs and try out 'Grill den Henssler' every now and then. The fans of the cooking show have been demanding a 'non-celebrity' special for a long time – so we thought, why not?"

With its successful format "Grill den Henssler", VOX regularly scores top ratings. Professional chef Steffen Henssler competes against prominent candidates in the cooking battle. While the stars get support from the cooking coaches in every episode, Henssler is on his own. In the end, the jury around Reiner Calmund (72) decides who was able to convince with his court.
