(Boursier.com) — The Board of Directors ofEPC SA has reviewed the firm offers received as part of the sale process initiated by the company and announced to the market on September 9, 2022. The tightening of financing conditions combined with the economic context deemed uncertain by potential buyers has guided the offers on the decline. The firm prices proposed were deemed clearly insufficient by the Board, which therefore decided to end this phase of discussion.

The Group is extremely confident in the quality of the companies offered for sale and in the quality of the management team running them. The Deconstruction Pole is today one of the French leaders in the sector. The solid revenue growth has been achieved by maintaining a remarkably constant level of profitability for more than 10 years.

The Group has therefore decided to continue, as it has always done, to support the deconstruction activity in its organic development in parallel with the development of the Circular Economy activity.

The limitation of the artificialization of the soil, the increasingly strict regulatory constraints in the recycling and reuse of building waste and the necessary renovation of buildings to fight against global warming are fundamentally buoyant elements for this activity. EPC will provide all necessary support for its development in order to realize its full value potential.
The Board nevertheless confirms the non-strategic nature of this branch of activity for EPC and therefore its desire, in the long term, to find an external buyer under attractive valuation conditions for the Group.
