Groupe Gorgé, through its subsidiary Baumert, announces the signing of a major order, for a total amount of more than 40 million euros, for the supply of security doors for the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in the United Kingdom . This contract concerns more than 3,000 doors which will be delivered over the next five years and is mainly based on the new AGIL range. It follows an already significant first order won in May 2017 for the same plant.
This order, generating revenues that will last until 2027, ensures the sustainability of the Baumert company and aims to return to profitability.
As a reminder, the activity of technical doors for the nuclear industry is classified as discontinued operations (IFRS 5) in the accounts of Groupe Gorgé and therefore does not contribute to the published turnover. Groupe Gorgé announced during the publication of the 2021 annual results the project to withdraw from this activity, which constitutes a new step in the group’s simplification strategy.
