Once again, GTA 6 paid the price for leakers, who clearly couldn’t wait to finally see the long-awaited title from Rockstar Games in action.
Initially scheduled for today at 3 p.m., the famous first trailer for the game which is currently attracting all the spotlight was therefore released in advance by the studio. Enough to see what awaits us in a modern Vice City in the company of our two protagonists, organized crime style… provided you are patient.
Return to Vice City, more beautiful than ever
The slightest mention of GTA 6 each time causes an earthquake on the web, a symbol that the title is extremely awaited by fans. So anticipated that, last year, Rockstar Games was the victim of a massive leak, revealing a very early version of the sixth opus of one of the most lucrative video game franchises of all time.
History unfortunately repeated itself today, as many fans were impatient to see the very first trailer for GTA 6. This leaked, and Rockstar Games had no choice but to publish it immediately, instead of doing so at 3 p.m. here, as initially announced.
It is therefore done, and we can finally see for the first time what this new opus gives. And it is clear that the plastic of GTA 6 strongly flatters the retina. A modernized Vice City opens up to us in its most beautiful trappings, from its fine sandy beaches to its darkest alleys where the worst abuses are committed. According to other leaks, we should expect a truly gigantic playing field. This should in fact represent twice the size of Los Santos, the already immense open world of GTA 5.
Bonnie…Lucia & Jason on the run by 2025
The trailer is also an opportunity to give a face to the famous couple of protagonists inspired by the legendary duo Bonnie & Clyde. Rockstar Games therefore presents Lucia and her companion Jason, with whom players will do the four hundred tricks.
In addition to a thrilling story of which the iconic studio has the secret and which the trailer only touches on, we bet that GTA 6 will offer a new definition of the organized crime sandbox that made the series so successful. Theft and vehicle races, participation in crazy activities, robberies and other unsavory activities will certainly be on the agenda. A certain emphasis was also placed in the video on the excessive use of social networks. Perhaps our smartphone will gain other features compared to that of GTA 5 in this sense.
A whole program at first glance very attractive, in short. Unfortunately, you will have to be extremely patient before playing it. The end of the trailer indeed reminds us of a wide and distant release window on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: 2025. The PC does not seem to be targeted for the moment. In the meantime, fans of the franchise will be able to chomp at the bit on GTA Online, before delving into this new opus with its already global success. In any case, that’s all Rockstar Games is hoping for…
