GTA Online: Unlock Record A Studios and Short Trips

The live service offshoot of “Grand Theft Auto” is still very popular and was recently equipped with The Contract, a content extension. Musician Dr. Dre and assigns you an important matter, also numerous objects such as the Buffalo STX have been added. Do you have Dr. Dre already met and secured the tank on four wheels, but you have not yet reached the end of The Contract.

Once you complete the main mission in The Contract, you will gain access to a brand new location as well as some fresh missions designed for co-op. If you want to get the most out of the update, you need to visit this new place and take these assignments. Below is everything you need to get started with both.

Reach GTA Online: Record A Studios

You can find Record A Studios in Rockford Hills as soon as you start the game, but you won’t be able to enter the building just yet – so don’t worry, this is by design.

To gain entry, you must first unlock and complete The Contract missions. You can find out how to do this in this guide. When you finally meet with Dr. Dre have met and completed his VIP contract mission, you will be invited to the musician’s recording studio along with Franklin Clinton and Lamar Davis. Then you can finally step inside Record A Studios in “GTA Online”.

Start short trip missions in GTA Online

Before visiting Record A Studios, be sure to team up with a friend. Because while the missions in The Contract were very feasible for single players, the missions in the short trip series are designed for two players. So grab a friend before you venture out on this trail.

When you first step into Record A Studios, the first of the three short trip missions will be triggered. Here are the names of the missions:

  • Short trip – start-up capital
  • Short trip – fire free
  • Short trip – OG Kush

As the titles suggest, these three missions are about Franklin’s and Lamar’s stash of cannabis. When entering these missions, the user slips into the role of Franklin or Lamar, which makes these quests a unique experience in “GTA Online”.

To start the back-to-back Short Trip Missions, simply visit the Lamar Davis icon on the map screen.
