GTA V has now been out for over 8 years, so it’s been a while since rumors swirled around GTA VI have started. We thought we had already seen a few clues here and there, with Rockstar which seemed to be toying with the fans, but many surveys have suggested that the development of this new installment will take longer than expected. After years of hallway noise, Rockstar finally speaks up and speaks for the first time about GTA VI.
GTA VI enters active development, but it’s not for tomorrow
Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we’ve previously delivered. We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.

Well, don’t dream, no images on the horizon or even an official title or more information than that. In a post on social media, Rockstar finally publicly acknowledges being at work on the new episode of GTAwhich had never been clearly said before, although everyone is obviously aware:
” Many of you have been asking about a new installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. As with any new project, our goal is to always move forward from what we have produced before. We are delighted to confirm that active development for the new installment of the series is underway.. »
Kind of a non-news in a way, but this is definitely the first time Rockstar has spoken on the subject, which is worth noting. Especially since Rockstar specifies that the game has entered the active development stage.which means that things will finally be able to accelerate around GTA VI.
It’s still far too early to talk about a possible release date, so we’ll avoid speculation here, and this speech is probably there to speak to the industry first and foremost, rather than to the community. It must be said that after a GTA Trilogy which caused a stir, Rockstar needed to draw this cartridge to tickle investors.
In all cases, GTA VI is closer than ever (so to speak), and fans aren’t going to complain about it.
