The creator of the late ElonJet Twitter account has switched to the platform owner’s rival social network, Threads, with some success.
The now famous Jack Sweeney has just been exported far from Twitter! Unsurprisingly, the young American programmer decided to open an account on the new social media group Meta, Threads, in order to continue to follow the movements of Elon Musk. The young man, passionate about aviation, made himself known by creating, in June 2020, the Twitter account @ElonJet since closed, which relayed the whereabouts of the no less famous billionaire all over the world.
ElonJet lands on Threads
” ElonJet has arrived on Threads “. Here is the first message written by Jack Sweeney on the new social network of Mark Zuckerberg’s teams. Since then, the account called @elonmusksjet on Threads has taken service by giving Internet users all the information on the plane trips of the boss of Tesla and SpaceX.
And like the Threads platform as a whole, its subscriber count is growing fast. On Saturday, the account maintained by Jack Sweeney already had 20,000 subscribers. This Monday morning, he had exceeded 80,000 followers. Note that he also created another account, @zuckerbergjet, dedicated to the travels of the founder of Meta this time.
Already a success
Jack Sweeney has been cut off from Twitter recently. In December 2022, his account was suspended by the blue bird, after a complaint from Elon Musk. The latter had threatened Sweeney with legal action, claiming that his son had been followed by a “ crazy stalker at the time.
Since then, he has recreated two accounts on Twitter: a personal account and a new version of his ElonJet, called @ElonJetNextDay (or ElonJet, but ” delay for the title). The automated account continues to publish Elon Musk’s plane journeys, but simply 24 hours late. It is now followed by just over 25,000 people.
For its part, Threads, which we expect the arrival of many new features, and official authorization in Europe, has already exceeded 100 million users. A dazzling success, which seems to be only the beginning.
