Guido Maria Kretschmer also knows: the winter was long. That’s why he has now revealed two colors that bring out the best in us even when we’re pale – and with which we can slowly dare to wear colorful fashion again.

When what felt like the first rays of sunshine of the year peeked through the cloud cover over the last few days and even banished them completely at times, we could hardly believe our narrowed eyes. And despite all the glare, people stretched their heads symmetrically towards the sun – oh, how much we missed them!

Not only our eyes have to get used to the rays again, but also our skin. Because the winter was – not just mentally – a long one. And since the last vacation should also be some time ago due to the pandemic, we have gained a, let’s call it forgiving “wintry” complexion over the last few months.

That’s why we don’t need to shy away from the colorful spring fashion in the shop windows. After all, Guido Maria Kretschmer also experienced the tough winter – and now, empathetic as he is, has a few tips ready to help you get used to the new trends gently. In an interview, the designer already told us: it’s going to be colourful! In the process, however, he also revealed how we carefully approach the color spectrum of the rainbow without being overwhelmed by its glare.

Especially at the beginning of spring, many still feel a little pale around the nose. That’s why you don’t have to hide in dark tones any longer. Guido recommends two colors that “also work if you have pale skin.” And there would be: “For example, Campari or such beautiful mauve tones. There’s a lot you can do right now.”

Campari? That definitely sounds like summer! Sure, it’ll pop – but combined with a matching lipstick and otherwise rather subtle make-up, the tone can suit us even if we still have a little winter pallor on our face. If you prefer to slowly venture into the colorful season, choose the wild mallow. Mauve tones have been on the rise since last year and can be wonderfully carried into the next season. By the way, Guido has another tip on how to get used to colors: start with the bottom layer – namely with “a bit of colored laundry”, which lifts your spirits as soon as you put it on.
