Guido Maria Kretschmer knows: Good styling not only includes fashion, but also the hairstyle! In an interview, the designer revealed which haircut looks particularly good on curvy women – and what, in turn, does nothing for them.

At Shopping Queen, a visit to the hairdresser often turns into a nail-biter. The participants are not threatened with a cruel makeover here. Rather, they fear clock and wallet instead of scissors. Do you have enough time and money? And does the new haircut fit the motto?

At the latest on the catwalk it becomes clear how important this small, often forgotten part of the look is for the overall appearance of a person. It’s not just clothes that make a man, hair does too, and that’s why Guido Maria Kretschmer has an important hairstyle tip for women ready.

Because while the designer was just answering the readers’ questions about the ideal fashion for curves, an underestimated styling lever crystallized: Not only the clothes, but also the hairstyle can be adapted to the body shape. So women with many curves have completely different cuts than the narrow ones among us.

Guido Maria Kretschmer’s hairstyle formula for curvy women

For example, Guido Maria Kretschmer would advise against long hair for women who are blessed with a little “more” anyway: “If you have a lot, for example, a lot of neck, a lot of breasts, you can make sure that you don’t also choose a hairstyle that hangs down long.” In particular, women who want to hide their bust size under their head of hair are more likely to achieve the opposite: “Straight hair supports this even more if your hair is always hanging over your breasts,” says Guido.

Better: don’t hide anything, wear it with pride. And the same goes for the hair. Guido encourages women to show off their hairstyles as well as their curves: “One should rather try to create a bit of volume in the hair to match this”, recommends the designer. Depending on the hair structure, this can be beautiful curls that end with the chin or a shoulder-length bob. It just shouldn’t be too long.

Finally, Guido Maria Kretschmer encourages: One should calmly die “choose right colors” and dare to play with the hair color a bit. This is where type advice from the hairdresser can work wonders – sit back and let the professionals do it. Last but not least, the most important tip is that the hairstyle suits you and you feel comfortable with it, because you radiate it.
