Gwendoline Hamon: “Cassandre is tired of playing cat and mouse”

Always so sunny, the actress returns to play the headliners in the sixth season of Cassandre, in which her relationship with Captain Roche could change… Saturday April 9 at 9:10 p.m. on France 3.

Why does Cassandre suddenly decide to be more explicit and direct? with Rock about their mutual attraction?

Gwendoline Hamon: I think first of all that it is a scriptwriting spring. And then Cassandra is tired of playing cat and mouse and says to herself that she has to go… He is a little offended in his male principles and scared, because he didn’t expect it. Cassandre says to him, moreover: “If I crushed your romanticism, bring me flowers.”

Can they take the plunge without breaking the dynamic on which their duo is based?

Of course, it can be boring, especially since the spectators certainly like this ambiguous relationship that exists between them. But even if they fall for each other, there are still many ideas to exploit. So we look, we think about it. In the seventh season that we are shooting, there will be a lot of twists and turns. Not necessarily the ones we expect, but I don’t have the right to tell you about them for the moment…

Does your personality influence that of Cassandra or is it the opposite?

It’s clearly me who rubs off on her, even if it’s not 100% in all situations. First on what touches humor, the valve. Besides, my father keeps telling me that he doesn’t understand why I’m being given more and more dramatic roles, because, according to him, I’ve been a clown since I was very young. I also give him my empathy. Several times, I was asked to show more distance in certain scenes, for example when Cassandre is confronted with a mother who loses her child, but I refused. I think it gives him an interesting personality trait.

Cassandre sometimes gives the impression of being overwhelmed by the codes of her son’s generation. Is this something you also feel as a mom?

Yes, I find that they have a certain way of explaining life to you, as they come out of your belly! But I don’t feel “has been” for all that. For the moment, I explain to my son, Gabriel, that I know a lot more things than him. I do not let myself do it !
