Actress bills herself with superhero films

Gwyneth Paltrow was a Marvel star herself, and now she has settled into superhero films. Hollywood relies too much on quantity instead of quality.
Gwyneth Paltrow (51) spoke about the mass of superhero films in Hollywood. According to her, there are a limited number of good films in this genre, like the actress explained on the show “Hot Ones”. Cord Jefferson’s (42) Oscar speech was also discussed. While accepting his award for best adapted screenplay, the director of “American Fiction” made an appeal to those in charge of the film industry: “Instead of making a $200 million movie,” they should try to make “20 10- “To make million-dollar films,” said Jefferson.
Paltrow now said she could understand this. She added of the mass of superhero films that you can only make so many good films “that feel really original, and yet they’re always trying to reach as many people as possible, which sometimes affects the quality or the specialness or the realness meaning hinders”.
Things were better for Gwyneth Paltrow in the ’90s
Gwyneth Paltrow has been part of the superhero industry herself in the past. She played the character Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Robert Downey Jr. (58) in “Iron Man” (2008). She appeared as Potts in other Marvel films until 2019.
The actress, whose career in Hollywood began in the early 1990s and who won an Oscar in 1999 for “Shakespeare in Love,” also said: She regrets the fact that “I look back on some of the films I made in the 1990s made, and think that they simply wouldn’t be made today.” She added of the lower budgets of these works: “You get greater artistic diversity when there’s less at stake and people can express their true voice and make a film the way they want to make it. And I think those are generally the films that resonate more.”
