In her Netflix show “Liebe, Sex und Goop”, Gwyneth Paltrow wants to pimp the love life of couples with the help of sex therapists.

“We have sex. It’s a show about sex. We’ll talk about sex,” says Gwyneth Paltrow (49) in the trailer of her new show. From October 21, 2021, Netflix will launch “Liebe, Sex und goop”, their second show for the streaming service after “The Goop Lab” (from January 2020) via their lifestyle and wellness brand “Goop”.

Five couples who want to polish up their sex life meet five therapists who want to help them with various techniques. One couple confesses that they are about to divorce, another that sex is a duty like brushing teeth for a man.

Touchless orgasm and Wolverine claws

The five therapists show five different ways to supposedly more fulfilling sex. The “somatic sexologist” Jaiya and her partner perform an orgasm without direct physical contact. It is said that it only climaxes through currents of energy.

Another therapist shows claws like those from the Marvel mutant Wolverine as sex toys.

“Toolbox” for better sex

“Love, Sex and Goop explores what it means to be really intimate in a relationship: expressing your deepest fears and desires and accepting those of your partner,” Paltrow said in a press release. “The show is a toolbox for finding more joy and connection in our romantic lives. And it’s full of lessons I would have liked to have learned years ago.”

Through her lifestyle brand “Goop”, Paltrow has already released a $ 75 candle that is supposed to smell like her vagina – to remove the taboo on female sexuality. “Goop” is repeatedly criticized because of the accusation of pseudoscience, the ineffectiveness or even harmfulness of some products.
