Curls and bangs? The new pony trend Curly Fringe proves how stylish this combination can look! Here you can find out everything about the trend hairstyle.

Hairstyle trends come and go … with straight or slightly wavy hair, you can try a lot as you like. But what about the curly hairs ?! Beautifully defined curls are gorgeous – but often not that easy to handle when it comes to new styling ideas. But here comes a trend that brings even more oomph to the curly hair: The curly fringe is a curly or wavy pony – and this hairstyle is well on its way to becoming the new hairstyle trend in 2021 … Because one thing is certain about the pony hairstyle: It combines extravagance with stylish retro charm!

Curly Fringe: This is what defines the pony trend

With curls or wavy hair you often do not dare to do pony hairstyles for fear that the curls could then stick out unfavorably … Stars and starlets such as Alanna Arrington, Mica Argañaraz or Natasha Lyonne prove how lively and stylishly curly ponies look! The Curly Fringe has an absolutely charming retro flair and is reminiscent of the hairstyles of the 60s and 70s – and with a stylish nonchalance! When it comes to the hairstyle, it doesn’t matter how long your hair overall or how strong your curls are – the focus is on the curls and dynamic bangs. The curly fringe should end at about eyebrow level … if it becomes too long, it not only blocks your view, but also loses its nonchalance! Remember this when you cut your hair: after all, the curls will pull together when dry.

This is how you style the curly fringe

  1. After shampooing, gently wring your hair out with a towel and comb it with a Tangle Teezer.
  2. The hairstyle is best worn with a middle parting, but a very light side parting also looks good on the curly fringe. Pluck your bangs into position.
  3. Knead some sea salt spray or a leave-in conditioner into damp hair.
  4. Blow dry your hair with a diffuser attachment.
  5. If you want to help the hairstyle a bit, you can then use a curling iron with a curler attachment (adjust the diameter to your own natural curls).
  6. If necessary, apply a little more hairspray to set. If desired, the hair can be ruffled a little. Finished!

Tip: There is a curling gel made from purely natural ingredients … Here you can find out how you can make flax seed gel yourself!
