Can you not like it, too, that for any reason we are wondering which hairstyle we wear? For the wedding, for dinner with colleagues, for the birthday party and, and, and … And we have good news: we do not have to do that now. There is a hairstyle that simply fits every occasion. At least that’s what REDKEN stylist Marco Arena says.
The perfect hairstyle for every occasion
“If I had to pick one, it would always be a loose knot. It always works. Of course, the design makes the difference depending on the occasion.”
No matter if festival or holiday look – a loose bun is the hairstyle we should wear if we do not know (or simply do not have time). The higher the knot sits on the head, the cooler and more casual it looks. “If the knot is more on the back of the head, it can be more elegant, if you just have it deep in the neck then the look should be boho-casual,” explains Marco. For him, the Dutt is simply a classic. But if the execution makes a big difference, how do we properly style the loose knot?
That’s how you style the loose bun
“Put it in the head over a volume product so that the hair does not stick to the head. Then tie the hair with a hair tie loosely at the point to the braid where the knot should sit. Lightly prick the tips with a coarse comb, twist, twist and then fix.”
Of course, what sounds very easy with Marco can sometimes be difficult for beginners. It is important that you give the hair with a little product more structure and grip. So every bun takes twice as fast. If you want to add some glamor to your Dutt, you can put a few hair clips with pearls, stones and more in the back. Then the entire look is even more elaborate than it actually is.
