Released in March 2020, Half Life: Alyx remains to this day one, if not the best video game experience in virtual reality. While waiting for the sequel from Valve (which shouldn’t be released right away), fans of the license have not been sitting idly by and have created a lot of mods to keep the game alive. come today Half-Life: Alyx: Levitationone of the most anticipated mods of recent months.
With a duration of 3-4 hours and completely free, this mod offers to resume the story directly where Half Life: Alyx was stopping. Back after a short absence, Alyx will find City-17 changed, and our heroine will have to go in search of two members of the resistance who disappeared in Sector X.
Cut into eight levels, this new adventure has new dialogues and new animations, while the reviews seem unanimously positive. As of this writing, the 698 reviews leave the game at 5 out of 5 stars (and count on yours truly to go check that out for themselves). However, some bugs still seem to be present according to the forums. No doubt the creators behind this campaign will correct them in the future.
How to play Half-Life: Alyx: Levitation ?
To be able to take advantage of this new content, you will of course have to start by owning Half Life: Alyx. The good news is that the game is currently 60% off (23.59 euros) during Steam’s fall sales.
Then, you will have to go to the mode page Levitation. It is available here, or found via the Workshop’s search engine. Finally, click on the green “+” at the bottom, in front of the five parts composing the campaign (or on “+ Subscribe to all” at the top). We just have to wait for all this to download and voila, the mod is accessible in the game and the levels will load one after the other.
