Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie are working on the film “Maude v Maude”. The two were able to build a bond despite initial difficulties.

Film fans can look forward to a special duo: Angelina Jolie (48) and Halle Berry (57) will be seen together in “Maude v Maude”. In an interview with Variety, Berry described the film, which she will also produce with Jolie, as a cross between “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Mission: Impossible” with a comedic twist. The actress also spoke about her relationship with her co-star and revealed that she had a “difficult start” with Jolie.

Berry didn’t want to reveal the reason for the initial difficulties, but said there was a “good story” behind it. The bumpy start will “benefit us in our time together on screen,” Berry told Variety, adding that she was excited to “work with another woman and tell a story with our sensibilities to write from our point of view. It’s impressive.” She also explained why the two women were able to build a close bond: “We talked a lot about divorce and exes,” said the actress. “That, let’s put it that way, brought us together.”

Halle Berry was married to French actor Olivier Martinez (57), with whom she has a son, from 2013 to 2016, and previously to former baseball player David Justice (57) and R&B singer Eric Benét (56). Daughter Nahla (15) comes from her relationship with Gabriel Aubry (47). Berry is now in a relationship with Van Hunt (53). Angelina Jolie was married to Brad Pitt (59), with whom she has six children, from 2014 to 2019, and previously to Billy Bob Thornton (68; 2000-2003) and Jonny Lee Miller (51; 1996-2000).

Details about “Maude v Maude”

“Deadline” reported on the film project back in April, in which the two Hollywood actresses work together for the first time. Roseanne Liang (“Shadow In The Cloud”) is set to direct, with the script coming from “The Grinch” director Scott Mosier. “We plan to travel all over the world,” Berry explained in an interview with Variety about the locations for Maude v Maude. “Warner Bros. bought our script and for us it’s about going to places that have never been shown on screen.”
