Halo art director left Microsoft for Tencent

Nicolas Bouvier has been assigned as Senior Art Director for two teams in Tencent Games’ extensive network: Team Kaiju and TiMi G1 Studio. Team Kaiju is one of the first studios founded by Tencent Games in the United States and is working on a new multiplayer FPS license under the direction of Scott Warner, whom Nicolas Bouvier has already frequented since he was chief designer on Halo 4. At work on its first blockbuster with the Unreal Engine, the studio is based in Los Angeles and Seattle as well as working remotely.

Players are looking for the balance of dynamic gameplay AND great art to go along with it. To help us achieve this last goal, we are pleased to welcome Nicolas “Sparth” Bouvier to Team Kaiju as the new Senior Art Director. Sparth joins our team after working on the Halo franchise for many years and he’s here to help us build a fantastic new world for our first game, an unannounced cross-platform, online multiplayer FPS.“, can we read on LinkedIn.

Nicolas Bouvier should not be bored since he will also work for TiMi G1 Studio, one of the teams of the sprawling TiMi Studio Group, embodiment of the power of Tencent Games responsible for games like Honor of Kings, Pokémon Unite, Call of Duty : Mobile, Saint Seiya: Awakening or even Metal Slug: Code J. That being said, Nicolas Bouvier will not work on any of these licenses and his G1 Studio team was recently founded with the aim of carrying out original AAA projects. It is also possible that Team Kaiju and TiMi G1 Studio are working together on a single game.
