Handball – Hard grabs jump in European League group stage

For the first time in the history of the club, HC Hard made it into the group stage of the European League in handball! The “Red Devils” defeated Butel Skopje on Tuesday after a home 26:21 in the second leg in the capital of North Macedonia with 25:21 (12:5).

Austria’s runners-up got off to a good start and took a 3-0 lead. Die Harder never gave up their lead again and went into the break with a comfortable 12:5 lead. Even after a change of sides, the guests were the masters on the pitch and never let Skopje come closer than a difference of four goals. “That is outstanding and an absolute milestone in the history of the club,” said Hard Managing Director Markus Köberle. “The lads rewarded themselves today and absolutely deservedly made it into the group stage of the European League.” In the first qualifying round, Vorarlberg also eliminated a team from North Macedonia with HC Eurofarm Pelister.
