Two trucks collided on the A10 in the municipality of Hüttau. The accident site, just a few kilometers from the traffic jam hotspot for the tunnel renovation, has been closed in the direction of Salzburg since shortly after 5:30 p.m.
According to initial information, there was a collision between two trucks at around 5:30 p.m. on the valley crossing shortly after the riding tunnel in the direction of Salzburg. A truck had crashed into the vehicle in front of it. The handlebar of the rear truck was trapped. Both rescue and emergency doctors as well as the Martin 1 emergency doctor helicopter were requested. The rescue helicopter flew the seriously injured person to the Schwarzach hospital. The Red Cross also brought the slightly injured driver of the second truck to Schwarzach by ambulance. The result was a kilometer-long traffic jam. Just a few minutes after the emergency services were alerted, the volunteer fire departments from Eben and Altenmarkt also went to the scene of the accident in the Hüttau area. As a result, there was a lengthy recovery of the two multi-ton vehicles in the direction of Salzburg. The emergency services assume that the lane in the direction of Salzburg will be closed until around midnight. The result was a kilometer-long traffic jam far to the south.
