“Happy End” in Liezen – Big search operation: Man (90) hidden in the attic

From the forbearance helicopter to the sniffer dog: a large-scale search operation brought the desired success on Tuesday night. A 90-year-old man who was reported missing by his wife was found unharmed in an apartment building.

The senior’s wife (86) reported to the police around 11 p.m. that her husband had not returned from a walk. After a close look-up was unsuccessful, a search for the man was initiated.

Dozens of emergency services
Rescue workers (mountain rescue Liezen and Selzthal, Liezen fire brigade, police service dog inspection Tasso Nord and a mantrail dog handler) looked for the missing person. A police helicopter capable of night vision supported the search teams.

No injuries
The 90-year-old was finally found unharmed around 2:30 a.m. in an attic of an apartment building.
