Harassed women? – Expert opinion charged accused masseur

“Krone” readers know the case: A masseur who is active in Salzburg is charged with sexually harassing women during treatment and having touched them in intimate places. He himself argued with medical necessity. But an expert now makes it clear: The masseur should not have treated that way.

“It must be assumed that the treatments described by the defendant were not carried out properly and professionally,” says the report. And further: “Based on the described complaints of the patients, the applied treatment methods were not indicated”. The expert commissioned by the regional court draws a more than clear summary, which also makes it clear: The defendant is a “commercial masseur and not a physiotherapist”.

The masseur himself did not confess himself during his trial and justified himself with his treatment methods in camera. That is why the judge called in an expert. For victim lawyer Stefan Rieder it is now clear: “The accused should not have treated my clients like that.” Three women had raised allegations against the alleged professional: They reported sexual harassment to the police in the form of touching intimate places. A 25-year-old said that she had to strip naked for a knee treatment. Other alleged victims had reported through the “Krone” reports. The trial will continue on July 19th.
