Harry Potter: here is the only post-generic scene of the saga

Find out which Harry Potter movie has the only post-credits scene in the entire saga. A hint: this is one of the first feature films of the franchise.

Unlike films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which usually have two post-credits scenes, the Harry Potter saga has largely spared itself that trouble. Partly because some films were written while the novels weren’t finished, but also because this practice was less fashionable in blockbusters during the 2000s.

However, a Harry Potter film has a scene at the very end of its credits, and it is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second part of the adventures of the young bespectacled wizard with an extraordinary destiny. Here is the scene in question:

We find Gilderoy Lockhart (played by Kenneth Branagh), locked in a straitjacket and amnesiac since he suffered the effects of a spell of Oblivion that he intended for Harry and Ron. Unbeknownst to him, the wand with which he casts the spell is broken and the magic finally hits him.

The post-credits scene tells us that he found the strength to write a book called Who am I ? which is sold at the Fleury and Bott shop, specializing in magical works or concerning magic.

Lockhart would never reappear in the subsequent Harry Potter films, although in the books he is seen again in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
