Thus ended the last volume of the Harry Potter saga, signed by JK Rowling in 2007. After having definitively defeated the dark wizard Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts, the young wizard was, so to speak, freed from the effects that had had on him the lightning bolt mark.
Scarred from his earliest childhood by the dark lord who had tried in vain to eliminate him with the Avada Kevadra spell (and who had in reality involuntarily transmitted part of his powers to him), Harry was indeed experiencing sensations of pain and of burning to his scar every time he found himself close to Voldemort. An oppression from which he had been completely freed following his victory and the death of his enemy.
By rewatching the last sequence of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 2, an adaptation of the novel on the big screen released in 2011, we can actually see with our own eyes that the famous brand no longer has an impact on young people. wizard for a long time.

In the scene where Harry and Ginny accompany their children on the Hogwarts Express platform, pay close attention to the scar, and more particularly in the very last shot of the feature film, at 1 hour, 57 minutes and 58 seconds.
In this image – which corresponds to the last words of the book – we can barely see the lightning bolt-shaped mark on Harry’s forehead. She has practically disappeared, and is therefore nothing more than a distant memory for him. For comparison, rewatch the first parts of the saga, and you will see that the scar is much clearer and more visible, Voldemort having not yet been defeated.
This detail is not the only one to have been noticed by fans about the brand. According to a Twitter post by the so-called Today Years Old, which seems to base its reasoning on specialized sites, Harry Potter’s scar does not represent a lightning bolt but rather the movement drawn by Voldemort’s magic wand to cast his Avada Kedavra spell (see here -above).
