Hasbro lets you become your favorite action figure

If you want to become a stormtrooper or a power ranger, know that Hasbro is thinking of you and will offer to print your face in 3D on figurines.

The Hasbro company, well known for being a specialist in toys and figurines, will offer Hasbro Selfie, the possibility of putting your face on your favorite figurine. So you can literally embody the character of your choice. The video above will give you an overview.

A new era for the Hasbro figurine collection

To pull this off, Hasbro has partnered with a company known as FormLabs and will digitally scan your face, then use a 3D printer to bring it to life and put it on your figurine of choice. The customer who must be over 16 years old (for this to work on the morphology side) will have to use the Hasbro Pulse app and scan their face with the help of their smartphone camera by following the instructions.

Soon a version of yourself on a shelf?

Unfortunately for the moment the Selfies Series range is limited to the United States, and Hasbro has not communicated anything for international availability and even less French. But we suspect that if all this is a marketing success, we should see this possibility arrive one day or another in our regions.

Each custom figure will cost $60 and it’s even possible to customize your hair and some of the figure’s effects. It’s up to you to be the new Mandalorian. With all this, we also wonder what will happen to data protection because you are going to offer your face on a silver platter to a multinational. Well Hasbro wants to be reassuring and the digitization of the face would therefore be kept for 60 days after the delivery of the figurine, then the information should disappear from the site… Well, we hope so.
