Haute-Garonne: a man shoots his partner and tries to commit suicide


A man in his forties fired this Sunday, January 9 in Villemur-sur-Tarn (Haute-Garonne) on his companion, before injuring his face by turning the weapon against him.

The forty-something fired at his companion “in the leg with a pump-action rifle”, then, upon the arrival of the gendarmes, who “used a taser to control him”, he was wounded by gunshot. of the jaw, the Toulouse prosecutor’s office told AFP.

They were both evacuated to the Purpan University Hospital in Toulouse “in absolute urgency”, according to firefighters. Their vital prognoses would not be engaged but the man “was placed in an artificial coma”, specified the prosecution.

An investigation for attempted spousal homicide has been opened. It was entrusted to investigators from the research brigade of the Toulouse Saint-Michel gendarmerie company.

Another investigation, entrusted to the gendarmes of the Toulouse Research Section, must determine the circumstances in which the gendarme used his taser.
