He then slipped and fell into a ravine, “falling about 20 meters”.

The relief, dispatched by helicopter, could only note the death of the hiker on their arrival, specifies the PGHM of Pierrefitte-Nestalas. The man was walking in the company of a woman who was psychologically taken care of by the rescuers.
According to The Noon Dispatch, the hiker was hiking with a friend on the territory of the municipality of Hèches, in the Aure valley. Deployed on the spot by the Choucas 65 helicopter, the rescuers found the hiker dead on their arrival.
Last September, another hiker had died in this same department, falling near the Tourmalet.
