Hauts-de-Seine Patrick Antonelli, the companion of Amel Bent, imprisoned in Nanterre for fraud

The companion of singer Amel Bent, Patrick Antonelli, was imprisoned on Tuesday at the Nanterre remand center (Hauts-de-Seine), in order to serve a 15-month prison sentence pronounced on March 8 by the correctional court of the city, according to information from our colleagues from Parisian.

He had been convicted of having illegally exercised the profession of security guard, replacing a bodyguard of his companion at short notice. To this conviction is added that for fraud in the judgment, Antonelli having presented an invoice without having the authorization to exercise, and that for simple fraud, the man having benefited without being entitled to “whatever the cost”, to compensate for its drop in activity during the Covid-19.

When he was sentenced in March, the judges had issued a deferred committal order, and postponed his imprisonment because of the delivery of the singer. The couple was thus able to organize themselves before the entry into detention of the now new dad.

Detention despite appeal

The warrant of committal having been pronounced with provisional execution, Antonelli is obliged to sleep in prison, even after having appealed against the judgment. To avoid being forcibly taken away by the police, the former driving school manager presented himself to the authorities, still according to The Parisian.

In July 2020, in a case of fraudulent license trafficking, Patrick Antonelli was sentenced to four years in prison, two of which were suspended with a warrant of deposit, as well as a fine of 100,000 euros. But without provisional execution. By appealing, he had then escaped from prison.
