Hauts-de-Seine: the bodies of three babies found in a cellar

The bodies were found in covered buckets, two of them were fossilized. According to the first elements of the investigation, the former owner of the house was a gynecologist, who died in 2015.

The bodies of three babies were found on Tuesday May 3 in the cellar of a house in Ville-d’Avray, in the Hauts-de-Seine department in the Paris suburbs, said the Nanterre prosecutor’s office, contacted by AFP .

An investigation has been opened to find the causes of death, the prosecution said. The forensic scientist will have to determine if they are precisely fetuses or babies, and how long they were in this cellar. According to a police source, the first elements of the investigation indicate that the former owner of the house was a gynecologist, who died in 2015.

The bodies were discovered early Tuesday afternoon by a worker who came to empty the uninhabited house, as part of the management of the estate. They were in the cellar, in covered buckets, and two of them were fossilized. The investigation was entrusted to the Hauts-de-Seine judicial police.
