After Hayden Panettiere recently commented on the death of her brother Jansen in a joint statement with her parents, the date for his funeral has now been set.

Jansen Panettiere passed away on February 19, 2023 at the age of just 28. Less than a week later, Hayden Panettiere, 33, and her parents released a moving statement announcing the cause of death. “Though it is of little consolation, the coroner announced that Jansen’s sudden death was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart) associated with aortic valve complications,” it said. Details of the funeral service for the deceased artist are now known.

Hayden Panettiere will speak at Jansen’s funeral

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2023, according to US Weekly. The funeral service will be held in Palisades, New York, where the actress and her brother grew up. The memorial event will be open to family, friends and anyone who had a personal relationship with the deceased 28-year-old. Hayden Panettiere is one of several relatives who will give a speech at the funeral service to say goodbye to Jansen.

Heartbreaking statement from the family

“You could see Jansen’s heart in his eyes, his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile, his soul in his masterful and insightful paintings and the joie de vivre in his wry wit,” reads the statement that Jansen’s mother Lesley Vogel, his father Skip and sister Hayden Panettiere told ABC News.

“His charisma, warmth, compassion for others and creative spirit will live on forever in our hearts and in the hearts of everyone he met,” read more moving lines. In the end, the Panettieres finally addressed their loved one directly: “We love you so much Jansen and you will always be in our hearts.”

Jansen Panettiere began his career as a child actor in the early 2000s alongside his sister. However, after numerous appearances in various series, he turned to painting.
