A double murder that occurred in Saint-Brieuc on Sunday January 22 is the subject of an investigation. A young father allegedly murdered his partner and their child, before killing himself in their apartment.
It is a very sad investigation that began at the Saint-Brieuc police station this weekend. After the suicide of Lucas (13 years old) and Juliette (15 years old), it is that ofa young man aged 24 which could well appeal to public opinion. The events occurred in an apartment located “in a quiet street away from the city center” of the municipality of Côtes d’Armor specify our colleagues from 20 minutesbefore detailing the circumstances of the drama which are directly associated with a double murder.
Indeed, according to the public prosecutor – Nicolas Heitz -, “police officers from the police station were called following shots fired in a building in Saint-Brieuc“. They found three dead there: the presumed perpetrator of the shots, a 22-year-old woman who would be his companion, as well as their 3 and a half year old daughter. The man “would have injured the mother of his companion who is 59 years old and who was hospitalized in Brest” add our colleagues.
Still according to the public prosecutor, the one who “could be the author of the shots turned the weapon against him, a priori, by killing himself”. It would be a rifle according to BFM TV, without being able to give more details for the moment. We just know thatAn investigation has been opened and that the autopsies of the three dead bodies must be carried out at the Rennes forensic institute this Monday, January 23. At the end of which the still uncertain motive for this double murder could be revealed.
