These companions will take the form of a special servant, specific to a hero, for a total of 75 heroes, therefore the same number of companions, and adapted to the style of play of the character with whom he cooperates. These companions behave like servants, whether they’re in your hand or on the board. Latest novelty related to companions, the “companion-meter”, new game mechanics, which is a gauge that fills up during combat and will have special uses, not yet revealed.
The mercenary village will also be updated on January 25by acquiring a new place, the training ground. Mercenaries can passively gain experience while you complete bounties with other mercenaries, play other modes, or even any other time of your day. 5 new mercenaries will also be added to the game, Balinda Gitepierre, Captain Galvangar, Lokholar, Wrathion and Sinestra. Along with them will come some changes, such as updating bounties and features, such as the oval illustrations of the portraits and card backs of the Mercenaries.
Next will come on February 1, a brand new adventure, titled “Book of Mercenaries: Tavish Stormpike.” in this adventure, embodying the character of Tavish Stormpike, you will have to face the Frostwolf clan, Horde mercenaries, Troggs, your own family, and even food poisoning! You will have 8 bosses to face to overcome this linear adventure, which will allow you to win a hunter class package, filled with standard hunter cards. January 26, the special Tavish vs Rokara showdown will however take place. You can either embody Tavish during this event, or Rokara, accompanied by one of your mercenary companions, in order to triumph over the event. Your first win will earn you an Standard deck to expand your card collection.
Finally, from February 2 to 16, the Lunar Festival event will take placeduring which all players will receive free Dancing Lion card backfrom January 25 to February 6, but also a showdown Lunar Blessingsfrom February 2 to 6, as well as brand new quests from 2 to 16.
