Anton, the beloved Irish wolfhound of Heidi Klum and husband Tom Kaulitz, recently passed away. Now she reveals sad details.

A few days ago, Heidi Klum (49) started her first round of questions on Instagram, where her 10.7 million followers could ask questions in writing, the answers to which she then spoke in German into the camera. In the second round, the “GNTM” boss now also revealed a very sad detail about the death of one of her dogs. When asked “Are you getting a new dog?” she said: “I don’t know yet, it was really difficult for all of us. Anton died in my arms. That was really, really bad.”

Three dogs died this year

The Irish wolfhound Anton was the third four-legged friend that the family had to part with within a very short time at the beginning of the year. At the beginning of February, Heidi Klum and her husband (since 2019), musician Tom Kaulitz (33), announced that that her dog Capper died. Stitch died a few weeks later the four-year-old dog of Kaulitz’ twin brother Bill. In her Spotify podcast “Kaulitz Hills – mustard from Hollywood” the brothers then explained that Anton, the second dog of Klum and her partner, also died.

Heidi Klum had explained on Instagram: “Such a beautiful day today, we didn’t know it would be our last, we love you Anton,” she wrote for a selfie of herself, husband Tom and dog Anton.

Anton only came to the blended family in August 2019 as a puppy. “We welcome a new member to our family… May I introduce: ANTON,” wrote the mother-of-four back then on Instagram to photos of the big little guy.

“Didn’t you once have a cat?”

In the current Q&A Heidi Klum was then asked about her cat. “Didn’t you have a cat too? I’m really sorry about your dogs” – the presenter and entrepreneur said: “We have a cat and his name is Prince. And yes, he now takes the whole house for himself. “
